Abstract
|
|
|
Papillary and solid epithelial neoplasm of pancreas is a tumor recently described in young women. Two cases of the papillary and solid epithelial neoplasm of pancreas in young female(16, 27 years old respectively) are presented. Chief complaints
were
only mass on epigastrium. Well circumscribed masses were noted in body(case 1) and head (case 2) of the pancreas, measuring 10 and 6cm in diameters respectively, which were simply excised. Cut surfaces showed fibrous capsules containing solid
mass
with
partially cystic areas filled by hemorrhage and necrosis. Evidence of metastasis was not noted in both cases. Microscopically, they are composed of two distinct papillary and solid patterns.
